Ministries – Adults
Choir
The All Saints Adult Choir sings at all Sunday 10am services from September to June. Throughout the year the choir remains an integral part of “The Old Fashioned Christmas Dinner”, the “Memorial Hymn Sing” and many other special services. Working together on Hymns, Anthems and Sing-Alongs, the choir meets every Sunday at 11:30 am to practice. For our Sunday 10am service we sing a mix of traditional and contemporary music from Common Praise, Mission Praise and other Anthems and songs picked by the Choir Director, Gillian Ezekiel.
We always welcome new members to join our growing choir whether you are a new or experienced singer. We have many choir members that are active in other choral groups and experiences can vary from those who are highly trained to those who have never taken a voice lesson before. Our choir members are always eager to help new-comers who are ready to learn! If you are interested in joining the All Saints Adult Choir or would like to sit in on a practice, please contact Gillian or speak with her after the service.
Anglican Church Women
The All Saints A.C.W. Group meets on the second Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. in the Church lounge. We would like to welcome all women of the parish to attend our meetings. For more information contact Marilyn Sangster.
Altar Guild
The Altar Guild team works in pairs for a two week shift on a rotational basis. We continue to seek new members, so if you feel you, might be interested, we would love to have you join us. There is training available, and you will always work with an experienced member of the team. If you have the time and the interest, and wish to help your church, please consider joining our altar guild. For more information, please contact Marlene LeLacheur or Reverend Trevor.
Coffee and Conversation
The All Saints Coffee and Conversation group meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month, from 10 AM to 12 Noon.
Sessions vary – sometimes there is a guest speaker, while other times we enjoy a “games morning” or a movie or a lunch “out,” the latter usually around Christmas time and for our year end closing in June. Sometimes it is simply what our name implies – coffee (or tea!) and conversation. Our agenda is flexible, designed to offer fellowship and the opportunity for sharing and support in a safe, comfortable environment.
While its primary focus is to build fellowship amongst those who attend – be they congregants of our All Saints community or their guests – the C&C group also supports those in need through contributions to the Rectors’ Discretionary Fund and other outreach activities. The C&C group is also committed to supporting all our All Saints’ volunteers and usually hosts a brunch/lunch for the community after a Sunday worship in late spring.
All are welcome – come each time or come as often as you wish.
Please contact Clarence Hewitt – 902-832-2833 if you wish to have more information or wish to be added to our email group.
Bible Exploration Group
The Thursday Bible Exploration Group meets to discuss the texts, stories, parables, Gospels. Special attention is shown to how these timeless writings and lessons apply to our daily lives. Movies and videos are frequently used to augment the discussions. For more information please contact Graham Lavers.
Faith Explorer’s
Faith Explorer’s takes place every Thursday morning in the Lounge from 10-Noon. Drop in and have a cup of coffee or tea as we enjoy conversation, discuss the scripture for the upcoming Sunday and explore our faith together. For the months of July & August the Faith Explorer’s Group will break for the summer months.
Christian Meditation
Christian Meditation meets weekly, through Zoom, on Wednesdays from 1-2pm. If you are interested in
deepening your prayer life in silent, group prayer, please join us by emailing your intention to: Mary Leigh
You will be added to the invitation list sent out each week. There is no pressure to attend every week.
However, those who practice this form of prayer have found it beneficial to maintain continuity of the
practice, either as part of a group such as this, or individually.
Holy Communion at Home
Holy Communion is available to those who are sick or shut in at home or in hospital. To arrange for Home Communion, please speak to Rev Trevor or call the office at 902-835-2605.
